Location and Time Zone Considerations
Azure allows you to create VMs in defined geographic regions that are closest to your users. For example, West US or East US. Within each region, multiple data centers exist to maximize performance, service availability, and redundancy. Learn about why it is important to choose the right region for legal, compliance, or tax purposes. For more information, see Azure Documentation Center and search for Regions and availability for virtual machines in Azure.
If you deploy Teradata Database products using a solution template, you select a region (location) in the template. If you deploy Teradata Database products separately, you can select a region (location) when you define your resources. By default, the time zone for the Teradata Database VM is set to UTC. You have the option to change the operating system time zone in the template.
VNets cannot span over multiple regions. For more information, see VNets.
