System Console Configuration
To configure Teradata Database on Azure software, you must use a system console that supports SSH protocol. This guide provides sample console instructions for PuTTY and SecureCRT.
After deploying a Teradata system, configure your console to allow connection to your VMs. If you are using a Mac Terminal, use the chmod command to ensure your private key file is not publicly viewable.
For more information on connecting to Azure VMs using SSH, access Azure Documentation Center and search for Use SSH Tunneling to access Ambari.
