Changes to the CMIC Configuration

You may be required to update the CMIC configuration based on new system information. For example, you may not have had the site ID when you first configured the CMIC configuration or you may have added or removed a database or other managed VMs.

If you have one CMIC deployed and want to add a second, you must delete the Server Management VM and then redeploy Server Management with two CMICs.

To apply the changes, run the cmic-cloud-config utility again for interactive updates and then enter the additional or changed information.

For example, to reset Server Management passwords, execute the applicable command based on component:
  • Server Management administrator
    cmic-cloud-config --resetPassword
  • Server Management REST
    cmic-cloud-config -R
